Considering this premise, students should take the initiative to deal with their learning disabilities by themselves, and do not just rely for others to help them. This does not mean though that they should be reluctant about seeking for assistance. But most of the job keeping up in class should come from themselves.
After all, you cannot expect your work colleagues to be always there by your side when you are completing a task. You also cannot expect employers to understand that you cannot finish an assignment yourself because you have learning disabilities.

Study your condition. You cannot approach the university physician and just say that you feel as though you have learning disabilities. Research about your condition so you would be able to explain yourself clearly. Also, you need to be aware of things you can do by yourself to get you to focus on your studies, especially if you barely have time to visit the physician.
Improve organizational skills. Devise your own learning strategies. It will take extra effort, but find comfort knowing that people, even professors, will be more willing to reach out to you when they see that you exert effort overcoming learning barriers. You cannot just expect everyone to be extra lenient to you.
You have to stand on your feet as well. If you deem it would be of help to attend the same class twice in a day, then do so. You might want to look into note-taking tools, or carry recorders in class. If you tend to miss out on the-term-papers due dates because you forget them, keep a calendar or organizer where you can always plot tasks. And then keep them on visible areas so you are reminded every time.
Keep documentations and present them to your professors during first day of classes. You would not want instructors thinking you are only making up excuses. Documents that serve as proof of your condition would give them a peace of mind that you are not just playing around. Teachers should know this ahead of time so they would not think falsely about you. They might deem that you are taking their class too lax but the truth is you just cannot get yourself to focus.
Orient yourself about treatment you should expect. Your professor is not obliged to take you to a one-to-one tutorial sessions every after class. You can however probably visit them when they have free time, and seek for assistance going through lessons. You have learning disabilities. However, as much as your professor would like to help, they also have several responsibilities to attend to. So find out which is only fair for them to give you.
Stay healthy. And as always, look after your health. Eat a balanced meal. Even if that means that you will have to change routes so you can stay away from vending machines. Get enough rest as well. Staying up late all night, pushing yourself to understand lessons you can hardly absorb is a futile move. You need to keep a sleep time which you can follow religiously.
Being diagnosed with learning disabilities does not mean you would not be able to learn, and excel in class. With courage and determination, you will graduate on time.
